Company Background

Global Process Automation, Inc. began in 1996 as a process control company specializing in the configuration of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Human/Machine Interfaces (HMI).

The need for industries to examine their process data in order to operate more efficiently directed us into the utilization and configuration of historical data software, including an industry leader of OSISoft’s Plant Information (PI) system. By using historical data, we have expanded our focus to include custom reporting applications in various formats and development of production reports in continuous and batch industries. GPA also creates automated compliance assistance tools to reduce the burden of ever-increasing regulatory reporting demands.

Since then, the need for process optimization, energy analysis and optimization, and production cost analysis has led GPA to expand our business into process modeling and simulation solutions using state of the art tools and technologies.

What We Do

GPA can design, configure, install, commission, and maintain a complete control system and/or plant-wide data historian. Of course, we offer training on the utilization and maintenance of the systems we install. We can provide complete system checkouts, control system testing and process optimization. Once your system is in place, we can turn your plant data into information in the form of reports, trends, and graphics tailored to suit your needs.

Testimonials

"Aside from an excellent track record with maintenance of our DCS system, I have been most impressed with their dedication in helping us to improve our cost structure. Roel Harsta has been successful in securing the services of IT personnel who are technically competent in their fields as well as eager to learn the plant operation. Consequently, we have reduced our chemical costs in the pulp mill and improved our power operations and reduced fuel costs."
:: Senior Project Engineer

"My experience with GPA since 2000: Multiple capital projects from small to large. In all cases, GPA met commitments to provide control configuration and graphics to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements. They worked as a part of the project team, interacting very well with the REO to provide point assignments and control definition. They worked well with the operators to define and provide operator interface tools."
:: Corporate Capital Project Manager

"In the 12 years that GPA has been at our facility, they have become a vital part of the overall plant operations. GPA has a unique combination of talented people with the sincere dedication to keep our systems working and making improvements in many areas."
